Velvet Lounge & Cafe

Our server was so rude. One of my friends gave her card and the waitress returned made no eye contact and gave her card to our other friend at the table. She took forever to come serve us after walking past multiple times. Ever since they renovated they downgraded in staff ! There was a busboy who was extremely nice and kept our table clean, but waitress was rude. I have no idea what her name is, the music was nice so we stayed. It was under 2 hours though because they said we are on a table limit. MIND YOU we weren’t there for 2 full hours. The tables are cheap and rocky. The bathroom stalls can’t lock only 1 stall. there were napkins in between the door so that it can stay shut. Security was also nice. so music, busboy and security were the highlights.

I'll start off with the positive the decoration , the layout of the restaurant and bar was impressive. Security and my waitress started out so good both was helpful and welcoming. I had high expectations after that it took a turn for the worse We ordered Tito's with club soda we received club soda and something else wish the restaurant was calling Tito's. To confirm that we didn't make a mistake I asked a waitress if this was Tito's in owner drink and if I can just order Tito's with no ice. We normally drink Tito every time we out drinking so my group of friends know the taste of Tito's vary well what we receive wasn't Tito's. I also ask my two friends if they can confirm if we were drinking Tito's everyone said the same thing it didn't taste like Tito's. We ordered a variety of food I ordered chicken tenders I received chicken tacos one of my friends ordered fish tacos which he wasn't very impressed with.I asked our waitress if it was going to take a long time for me to receive my corrected order I was instructed no . we waited so long I felt like canceling the order but once it did come to us it was three chicken tenders for $10 as you could see in the picture. If I go back I would only order beer

My niece took me Here to have a drink and get some dinner. The vibe was not really for a nice dinner. Music was pretty loud couldn’t even here each other. It’s a great place for drinks which were good. The ladies that serve are pretty to look at. But the food was not to my standards. The friend snapper was dry and fried too much. The asparagus were not fresh they were canned which I hate. The only good thing was the lobster Mac and cheese which is interestingly served in a pineapple. The pineapple fried rice was hard. I gave it 3 stars to be fair. However I wouldn’t go back to visit. It was an interesting experience.

Velvet Lounge was nice and clean..music was really nice.went there for brunch the staff is very attentive to their guests which I loved. They even asked the bday girl I was with if she had a song request and gave complimentary shots. My only complaint was the food unfortunately I ordered the salmon burger and not only did it take a long time to come out but along with the fries it was very salty and overcooked. I sent my food back and ordered mash potatoes and wings but the mash potatoes were very dry and the wings were also. Before I forget.. I really recommend the Hennessey on the beach it was a really good drink 🍸

The menu and options are great I love there creativity when it's comes you south Florida carribean infused cuisine the wings was great from the sauce to how well it was cooked the lobster was so well seasoned I could eat the shell actually I did 😋 the waffles come in a amazing flavors although they could've been executed a little better and the presentation was there I was impressed especially for a lounge /club kind of atmosphere the Mimosas are weak as hell so I advise you get a shot with it and you will be fine overall though I did have fun and enjoyed it

this used to be the spot to come to until recently. the music was a vibe and the busboy and security were nice, but whats going on with the waitresses? our waitress was very rude and had a negative attitude for no reason the whole time we had her. our tab was closed without our knowledge and one of the hosts came to our table and said that there was a 2 hour table limit and that we’d have to go. we weren’t even there for 2 hours.. and no one came to ask if we wanted to order more drinks or food, or bothered asking if they could close out our tab. just weird. also the tables are still unstable and very wobbly.

The food was actually pretty good. We had fried conch, some coconut shrimp as well as the regular fried version, salmon bites and asparagus. The sauces really brought everything together & it all was seasoned pretty well (almost a lil too salty). The atmosphere could've been better. Especially since the took the couches from the front of the club. Not sure why considering other businesses have tables outside and it provides a nice option for some fresh air in a hookah lounge. However, all staff were friendly and helpful.
